Not what you expected really.

First off, let me start by telling you the #1 source for online videos are google sites! In fact they have over 30% of the market!

So, #2 might surprise you to be a site that is country restrictive (although they are working hard to get it ALL over the globe!)

Hulu.com

For most videos viewed, Hulu comes second to the google operated sites (such as youtube etc..)

When it comes to unique visitors to a video site, hulu drops down the list a bit (of course google sits pretty at #1 ) and Fox, Yahoo and CBS take a jump up the ranks!

Here is some interesting facts found in this survey by comscore:

• The top video ad networks in terms of their actual delivered reach were: BrightRoll Video Network with 16.5 percent penetration of online video viewers, Tremor Media Video Network with 15.5 percent, and BBE with 13.6 percent.
• 84.4 percent of the total U.S. Internet audience viewed online video.
• The average online video viewer watched 10.8 hours of video.
• 125.3 million viewers watched nearly 10.4 billion videos on YouTube.com (83.1 videos per viewer).
• 41.1 million viewers watched 313.5 million videos on MySpace.com (7.6 videos per viewer).
• The average Hulu viewer watched 20.1 videos, totaling 2 hours of videos per viewer.
• The duration of the average online video was 3.9 minutes.

This post made at Gizmodo suggests that this advertisement was “leaked” and people should not know about these specials walmart has to offer (which by the way, are some cool specials there!)

This is just proof that offline business absolutely need online presence to have any chance in competing in today’s consumerism trends.

Leaked my a$$!!

I am sure this is not the only ‘leaked’ advertisement….. sorry I still laugh at how an advertisement can be leaked…. when its purpose is to be displayed/experienced by potential consumers.

When you need something new? And a little old skool!

Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!

Nearly everyone has heard of the Ghostbusters, watched both the movies, maybe even seen the cartoon version of ghostbusters!

Well as time goes on, both movie and video game producers strive for new ideas… when that runs out….. go old skool!

Yup, you got it! Bring back the team that zapped and slimmed not only a nation, but a pretty big chunk of the world too! Do you remember the first 2 movies? I know I do, seen them many times over and must admit, for an 80’s made flick, was half decent effects too!

So, I mentioned raising the dead? Well, a ghost can hardly be dead so Ghostbusters must live on forever right?

Coming in 2012 (yes, we have to wait that long) will be the release of Ghostbusters 3 and to get you all pumped about it a couple years early, a ghostbusters game is being released this month. I will post details below.

So back to Ghostbusters 3… who is in it?

Well good sources indicate ALL the original cast are getting involved (yet to have Rick Moranis confirmed) so we should be in for a treat!

So what will the plot be for number 3? I have not been able to find out, maybe they don’t know yet, wouldn’t surprise me really! But I do know the plot to the Ghostbusters video game being released June 2009.

It starts a couple years after we remember when Vigo attempted to rule the world by inhabiting the offspring of Dana (Weaver). Ghostbusters are now off the land of franchising and you are the latest recruit for GBI (Ghostbusters International) and just as you start, you find a new evil come to NYC and with the familiar ghostbusters theme, comes some familiar faces, along with the new!

Sounds like a fun game, I will be getting the PC version of Ghostbusters, but if you xbox,wii,playstation or DS. Take a look below because they coming at you too!

What happens when you go to load your blog to make a new post… and your sites is gone?

I am not talking about a blank page… even though that also happened, after. I am talking about a new site being displayed you never created.

Seems my domain registrar I used to purchase this domain (not my normal registrar) doesn’t like to send email warning the domain is requiring renewal! Yes… you guessed it, my domain for WAW was not renewed and as an added benefit, my registrar placed adds in a placeholder fashion.

I was less pleased than a fly in hermetically sealed bubble.

With emails going back and forward, telephone calls and a couple more emails, I was able to re-secure the domain and get the site back online…. then I found it was loading a blank page

argghhh what now???

Luckily I had a 2 week old back up, and needed only upload 2 files to get it working again.

So what we do take from this?

Ensure you note EVERY expiry date for your domains, set reminders to alert you a month prior to them expiring.
Most registrars will send renewal notices, just make sure they have your current email address, and note which registrar uses what email!

I am making a basic script that you can use to keep track of your own domains and will be provided here once competed.

Don’t forget, back up often and back up everything!
